The new Data Safe Pro supports perfect encryption and data security with the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) 256 bit encryption. AES is a specification for the encryption of electronic data that has been firstly adopted by the U.S. government.

The encryption is hardware based, meaning there is no option to access the stored data with any software when you connect the Data Safe Pro to a PC – unless you know the correct PIN. Moreover, the Prestigio Data Safe Pro features a “Write Protection”, which gives you a maximized protection of your files, especially from viruses or any other threats when you connect to a network.

Prestigio Data Safe Pro is amazingly designed: made in elegant business style and highly durable stainless material, the model features an OLED display and a capacitive touch screen, used for PIN and user info input, menu navigation and storage info.

USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface increases the data transfer rate up to 5 Gbit/s, allowing to save media on the hard drive in fractions of time. Prestigio Data Safe Pro provides a capacity of 500 GB and needs no drivers or software, working straight out of the box – truly Plug ‘n Play.

Data Safe Pro supports a convenient ‘Mount/Un-mount’ function, like “Safely Remove Hardware” of Windows, keeping all of the data safe all the way. The device also supports emergency data rescue with a Master-key, meaning that the data could be recovered even in case of a physical damage of the device or when the PIN number is lost or forgotten. 

As for system requirements, the portable hard drive Data Safe Pro is also ultra-compatible and can be used on all operation systems, be it Mac, Windows or Linux. It is also compatible with other devices, which support USB host: Media Players, TVs and so on.

Prestigio Data Safe Pro will be available starting from the beginning of January 2012 for a RRP of 179EUR for 500GB and 199EUR 750GB accordingly.
